Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to buy john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the current domain provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular stipulations on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
