A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the very same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud hosting platform and you have a cloud hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it is incredibly simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a click. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have set up using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not need this feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
