Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with our VPS servers and you can get a VPS running it in less than 1 hour. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, which means that you will be able to select the one which you need when the software that you want to run on the server has particular system requirements regarding this. You can also select if your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up without a Control Panel, in which case you will have full root access and you can set up anything using a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be set up on it, in which case you will have an online interface and all required web server, MySQL, FTP, mail server, etcetera. software is pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more limited, but such a installation is more efficient for users with less experience. We will also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date regularly if you add our Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so during the VPS order process or at any later time using your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
You'll be able to obtain Ubuntu with each of our dedicated server packages, as we provide 32-bit and 64-bit editions of this OS. This way, you're able to choose the more appropriate of these two, depending on the type of applications that you want to set up and run and on the system requirements they have about the Operating System. You will have root-level access to the server, which gives you full control over the software environment. We will set up only the Apache web server software, so you'll be able to add anything else you may need, even when it's not related directly to sites, such as a VOIP server, for example. You are able to manage everything from a console, but if you would like, you can also set up a hosting Control Panel, on condition that it's compatible with Ubuntu. In case you order the optional Managed Services bundle, we will keep your Operating System up-to-date on a weekly basis and will make sure that you have the newest software packages for a stable and safe server environment.
